FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
First, Rent-A-DivePro.
Once you complete the booking process you'll receive a confirmation email with additional information and code to book your Lake Hydra ticket.
Book your Lake Hydra ticket
Next, you'll head over to lakehydra.com (lakehydra.com)and book your ticket with the student booking code provided to you on your confirmation email.
*PLEASE NOTE:
*Lake Hydra ticket must be purchased separately at lakehydra.com prior to the day of diving. Ticket sales cut off at midnight the night before the dive date. There are no ticket sales at the gate.
*Student booking code may ONLY be used when diving with one of our DivePros. You will be refused entry and refund if Rent-A-DivePro's student code is used without permission.
***Lake Hydra ticket and equipment rental are NOT included***
All divers will first meet with the DivePro at Atlantis Aquatics (3650 Nazareth Pike #9, Bethlehem, PA at 7:30AM (weekends) and 9:30AM (weekdays). After picking up your rental equipment (if needed), completing the Rent-A-DivePro waiver, you along with your DivePro will head over to Lake Hydra once they open.
*Lake Hydra requires that divers carpool due to limited parking. (Minimum 2 people per vehicle)
*Lake Hydra Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM (weekends) and 10:00AM - 4:00PM(weekdays). Holiday hours may be subjected to change.
Unfortunately, rental equipment is NOT included. Please contact Atlantis Aquatics for rental information. We recommend calling in advance to reserve rental equipment. Please be advised, for weekday dives we suggest picking up your rental equipment the day before due to the dive center's hours of operation. For weekends, same day pick up is available.
Your DivePro is scheduled to do 2 guided dives (weather and time permitting) An additional third dive may be arranged in advance at an additional cost, subject to time availability and at the DivePro's discretion.
The diving normally ends no later than 3:00pm. If you have any other commitments and wish to end the dive day earlier, please make sure to inform your DivePro so he/she can plan accordingly with the rest of the group when booking Guided Group Dives.
Discover Local Diving (Lake Hydra) is a Group Guided Dive. You may book as an individual or with friends. Divers will be buddied according to certification level to ensure an enjoyable experience for all divers. (Max: 4:1)
Private Discover Local Diving (Lake Hydra) is either you and your DivePro (1:1), or Buddy Teams of maximum 2 divers. (2:1)
Refreshers are buddy Teams of 2 or 1 individual diver. ( Max: 2:1)

At this time, we accept cash ONLY. If you wish to use another method of payment, please make sure with your DivePro ahead of time. Cash App, Zelle, PayPal might be available on DivePro's discretion. Thank you for understanding!
We highly recommend 7mm wetsuit throughout the year or drysuit (especially in winter months) as well as 5mm hood and gloves for an enjoyable and safe experience for you and your group.
Water temperature varies throughout the year at Lake Hydra.
Temperatures at the surface average between 65°F to 75°F above 25ft.
Below the thermocline at about 25ft/30ft temperatures are between 65°F to 55°F.
Below 45ft/50ft and in some other areas of the lake, temperatures can drop below 55°F as low as 40°F depending the time of year and depth.
Important: 7mm wetsuit or drysuit, 5mm hood and gloves are highly recommended when diving Lake Hydra to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience.
If you’re unable to attend, please notify Rent-A-DivePro at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours may result in being denied future service. Your time is valuable to us and so is ours. Please contact us at rentadivepro@gmail.com to inform us of any changes. This helps avoid unnecessary travel for your DivePro and may open up availability for other divers. No-Shows will be added to a No-Show list and may be refused future bookings.
*For Lake Hydra ticket cancellations, please contact Lake Hydra directly to inquire about their cancellation policy.
Lake Hydra is NOT open to the general public and does not permit recreational diving or water sports. Access is restricted to insured certified instructors, recognized diving organizations, dive professionals, and their students.
However, certified divers may participate in Discover Local Diving or guided dives without being enrolled in a course, as these activities are considered a form of training. Certified divers are only permitted to dive at Lake Hydra and may continue to practice their scuba diving skills under the supervision of a certified and insured dive professional.
Every person entering the water must be either an insured and certified dive professional or under the supervision of one.
